*fyre-flye once mentioned in a panel that in an original draft she imagined Pinkie Pie as a pegasus pony. Personally, I think Pinkie Pie gets along just as easily without wings.

I tried a little bit something new with this one. While it's still just paper and glue, I've also layered the different objects (Pinkie, clouds, and balloons) to different heights using foam core. I've enclosed the final product in an acrylic box-frame, which I'm using as a shadow box despite that clearly not being the intention of the frame. Unfortunately, the pictures don't convey a great sense of the depth, but I think it makes a pretty neat effect.

Where do you get the foam core? I've been wanting to do something like this for my boyfriend for Christmas, and I haven't the slightest where to get any :/

I got mine from Utrecht, my local art store (although I had to ask someone where to find it since it was hidden away in a back corner). I would expect you to be able to find foam core in most art stores (Blick is another art store that comes to mind).

Failing that, you could probably also find it at hobby/craft stores such as Michael's, but I haven't visited one in recent memory so I can't be certain.
